Families Through Adoption, Inc., Renewal of Accreditation

Last Updated: August 11, 2023 The Department recognizes and appreciates the vital role accredited and approved adoption service providers play in the intercountry adoption process. On August 10, 2023, the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) renewed the accreditation of Families Through Adoption, Inc. to provide adoption services for intercountry adoptions. Families Through Adoption, Inc.’s accreditation is valid through August 21, 2027. Families through Adoption, Inc. is currently under the jurisdiction of accrediting entity, Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS). For additional information about accredited adoption service providers, please visit the ASP Directory.

Accreditation, approval, monitoring, and oversight of U.S. adoption service providers are handled by the relevant designated accrediting entity, Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) or Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS), responsible for providers with primary offices in the state/region under their jurisdiction. IAAME can be reached at iaame.net/contact, and CEAS can be reached at ceadoption.org/contact.

For adoptions finalized in 2023 (tax returns claimed in 2024), the maximum amount a family can receive as credit is $15,950 per adopted child.
